Wolves in Yellowstone

In environmental science issues class we are currently learning about the time the scientists and conservationists wanted to bring back the wolves to Yellowstone National Park. They found out that the absence of the wolves were causing a poor balance in the ecosystem, for example there were too many elk, deer, and bison. But what I learned is that the people who live in the areas of Yellowstone highly opposed the scientists bringing back the wolves, because they think that wolves are ferocious creatures that kill everything in sight. Society has portrayed wolves as being a terrible species that kill humans and are evil spirited animals. I learned that wolves are actually graceful creatures that are scared of humans presence. The scientists had a very difficult time in bringing back the wolves to Yellowstone, but with determination and perseverance they finally successfully brought back the wolves to the ecosystem of Yellowstone National Park.
